1/4 cup Dried Spent Grain
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar, grated (I used 1/2 cup Trader Joes Unexpected Cheddar and 1 cup sharp cheddar)
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 tsp whole peppercorns, lightly crushed
Preheat oven to 350F.
Using a food processor process dried spent grain until it becomes a fine flour. Finish off last in crushed kernels in a mortar and pestle.
In a food processor with metal blade combine all ingredients and pulse until dough forms into a ball or damp and crumbly.
On a piece of plastic wrap lay out a "log" of the dough and wrap forming a somewhat tight log. Wrap and chill for 1 or more hours.
Unwrap and slice thin.

Place crackers on parchment.
Press lightly with fingers to flatten.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
Let cool on wire rack.
